First Half-Marathon Done – A Non-Runners Guide to Running the NYC Marathon

The journey continues and while we are suffering the normal aches and pains associated with the strains and stress in running. We have some great people supporting us on our journey and we now work with sports massage’s and remedial therapist who as well as providing their services, they provide great advice. Especially Nikki our sports massagist who has run the New York Marathon, the advice is invaluable.

We have now completed our first half-marathon at the Gold Coast Marathon festival and met up with members from Travelling Fit, the company we are doing the New York Marathon with.

The Half Marathon was the lead up from the Springfield 14km event and during the time from Springfield to the Gold Coast we worked to complete a 17km course on the Gold Coast.

We are now well and truly hooked on running and have a schedule that supports getting better and strong and supporting the body. We are well on the way and are so excited.
