We all want to be healthy, don’t we? Even if we don’t realize it. We want to feel good. Have energy. Look good. And just generally feel happy in ourselves. It’s definitely something we all want, because why else would we feel sad or stressed when we’re not in this ‘ideal’ state of being? Yet, when it comes to actually getting there and feeling like that, we don’t always know how to make it happen. And so, we don’t. We just stick to our routines and live life on autopilot. And it can be tough. Because then you still don’t feel all that great in yourself. And after a while, it starts to manifest in others ways. Your body isn’t healthy. Your mind isn’t healthy. You just don’t feel healthy. And it’s not always that fun at all. So something has to change.

The first thing, is your mindset. Because you need to realize that health doesn’t happen to you. It just doesn’t. You CAN control it. Sure, there are some things that are, unfortunately, out of your control. But, it’s important to realize that most things are completely within your control. You have the power to change your life. How you feel. How you look. How you think. All of it. Because health is holistic. And your thoughts impact your body, and your body impacts your thoughts. Even your emotions come into it. So the way in which you approach being healthy has to change. You need to focus on how you feel.

Your Mindset

First of all, you’re going to want to really work on your mindset here. And it is really hard to change things at first. But, if you can start to be more conscious of your health and your body and how you’re feeling, it’s going to help you to make healthier choices. Because your mind is the driver of it all. You can choose to be happier and healthier. It IS a choice.

Energy

Now, one of the most important reasons for why how you feel is just so crucial, is because of your energy. If you feel sluggish, then the chances are that you’re not in the best shape right now. But when you’re bursting with energy, you’re always going to feel great about yourself. So you need to focus on how you feel each day. There are lots of things you can do to increase your energy levels, so make sure that you’re starting to make this more of a priority. And yes, those actions are going to allow you to become healthier too.

Strength

Something else to work on here, will be your strength. Because the stronger your body is, the healthier you are likely to be. If you can focus on being able to use your body more, to be able to run without tiring, to lift things, to climb stairs, to play outside with your children, you will feel happy and healthier. So don’t see exercise as a chore, see it as a way to strengthen your body, mind, and quality of life overall.

Comfort

But then also, it’s definitely important for you to be thinking about how comfortable you feel. Are you suffering from digestive health problems? Then you need to be more conscious about what you’re eating. Make sure that you’re considering if things like wheat or dairy or red meat are making you feel sluggish. Sometimes alcohol too! Limiting certain things in your diet, and focusing on feeding yourself with the right things, can help you to feel so much more comfortable in yourself.

Radiance

Now, one of the great things that coincides with being healthier, is the effect it has on how you look. So many people focus on their appearance and when they do not see immediate changes, they freak. Yet, it’s the idea of really working on what you’re putting into your body, and what you’re eating, that will then have an affect on how you look. Because if you’re fueling your body, if you’re moving your body, sleeping, drinking water, calming your mind – you’ll be radiant. Your skin, hair, waistline – all of it, will show the results!

Intent

And just to close, let’s talk about intention. Do you have the best intentions every single day? Do you know how you’re going to spend your day and feel each morning? If you don’t think about it, you cannot control it. So be more intentional in life. Choose to feel good. Prioritize your health and happiness. Because when you do, you’ll realize that you always feel so great in yourself.
