#80 The Coach Curl Podcast – Defeating Your Inner Sook

Defeating Your Inner Sook #80

Our minds are defensive things. And mine was doing its best to protect me from the pain that I was inflicting on myself. My internal sook was in full flight. And I was struggling big time.

My wife seemingly was powering on – others around me were powering on…. Or so it seemed. I was comparing myself with everyone around me, everything was hurting and I was in this incredible world of hurt.

And that’s when I started realising I have a choice, I could let my inner sook win and make the last ten kms simply painful and awful, or I could shut my inner sook up.
