I picked up this book in 2011, and the insight was immediate.

The concept that grabbed me was the name of the book itself, have you ever researched, worked to get the car of your dreams,  then finally one day you get the car of your dreams. That red car, because of course red cars are faster, and a funny thing starts to happen, you start seeing more of the same cars…. day 2 you see even more. In fact, you’re seeing them everywhere.
