I take time every year to have a beach side holiday at Yamba, in Northern NSW in the second week of January and over the time of taking these holidays, (15 years) the time for me has taken on new dimensions.
When we first started taking the time our children were much younger and our time was spent with them, swimming, surfing and fishing, as well as taking time to play up just a little with a group of family friends.
But over time, as our kids have got older, as my priorities changed, as my life changed, I no longer need to escape from life on an annual break that breaks the life i endured. I no longer limit my life, and my need to escape has diminished and the time is taken to review, refresh and re-energise, to write and to plan. I also take time to take calls with clients. Many see this as working, I see it as life. And I love it.
Take some time to listen to the CoachCurl podcast where I take the time to discuss holiday behaviours. I hope you enjoy it.
